I just bought a 94 6.5L Yukon. My first diesel. It is a little rough. I plan on bring it back into shape. My first project is to go over the engine and figure out what needs to be replaced or rebuilt. Does anyone know where I can get the GM factory service manuals for a 6.5L? Ive got a lot to learn and thought these might be a good place to start. I would like to do as much work on it myself as possible. Thanks

check out alldata.com, my local chevy dealer uses them. it is 25.00 a year and is updated every 1/4. saved me thousands in repairs.

Helm is the publishers for the official GM manuals. The ones for my 96 c1500 were 126.00 last November. These manuals are excellant

You can also get the genuine GM manuals on Ebay. I purchased the 4 volume set (gently used) for my burb for $75. As was mentioned, they are $126 from helm.

Well I took a look at All Data and thought about it. At work, a lot of my manuals are on CD and I really dont like looking things up on CD. So I bought a set of manuals from Helm. Kind of expensive ($145 with shipping) But I will be able to flip thru the pages. Thanks for the support. Im sure you guys will be answering a few more questions soon. As this is a restoration/performance project of my 94 Yukon. I would like to have alot of it completed by spring.
Thanks again
