I am trying to chase down a troublesome grounding problem on truck #1. Truck won't crank from time to time, yet batteries appear to be charged. Another symptom is this truck has problems powering trailer lights and e-brakes consistantly. Truck #2 works fine and so does the same trailer behind it. (Lots of general weirdness going on with old #1...)
Could someone give me a list of all the battery/chassis/engine/alternater grounding points to have tracked down and checked tomorrow when its in for service?
I plan to have the batteries both load tested and all contacts cleaned and coated with dielectric grease. If either battery is weak, I'll replace both.
