Flowmaster cross/down pipes

Has anyone installed the Flowmaster 17220 crossover and downpipe kit? My crossover pipe just developed a crack at the lower side of the driver side flange. I am thinking about welding it, but I have not done my downpipe yet, and Summit has a great price on this kit - so ... you know the routine.

Just want to know if the Flowmaster kit is quality and fits well.

Oh, BTW, they also have a good price on the 15903 3.5" tailpipe kit - any good?

When mine cracked I found a straight piece with the flange on it at the parts store...It was 10" long or so. I cut the bad end off the crossover pipe and welded the new piece on. Sprayed it with high temp aluminum paint. That was 3 yrs and 30,000 miles ago....Just an idea from a penny-pincher.

I installed that kit on my '00. Fits good. Snug fit on the down pipe. Can't comment on any gains, didn't have gauges before hand, still don't for that matter :( .

For the price I don't think you can go wrong. Nice for the newer trucks because of the flange.
