I figured by this conversion I could gain about 1.5-2mpg and my first tank of fuel since the conversion seems to confirm this. I got 15.5mpg mostly pulling my camper. I usually get 13-14 doing this.
The way I figure this every 40K when I replace my tires I will save about $800-900 tires and fuel.
Now I've got to get it converted to a manual trans.
I'll post further results latter.
jd...what exactly did you do? remove inner or outer tire? change tire size? change fenders?

I have purchased a take off SRW bed to replace my dually bed. I am going to purchase or have made 2.5" spacers to use a single dually on the back. This will make the wheels track very close to the front. I will then be able to use front wheel wheel simulators all the way around.
On a factory SRW K3500 the wheel track is about 6" narrower than the front so my set up should work better than factory and look better.

jdmetcalf57, Is your truck a 2 wheel drive? or is it a 4x4?

Great! Lets trade hubs? I'm going from a SRW to a DRW. I have the rear axle but I need the front hubs that you have and you need my hubs. What do you think?
