IP replaced on "good will"

I got a new IP put on under "good will" warranty since I have been to the dealer a couple times with troubles. I had to pay labor but I still think I came out ahead. My question...can anyone tell me info on the new IP. The OLD IP serial # was 10010843. The NEW IP serial # is 10996550. Also I asked the diesel mechanic to set the timing between -1.5 and -1.94. He said the timing is at 3.5 and that the TDC doesn't get affected with a pump swap. ?? Anyone care to explain that to me? Thanks to what I've learned on here from you guys I got a new pump. Now I'm shooting for 300,000 miles smile.gif

Try a search on "TDC offset" or similar in the 6.5L Turbo Diesel forum.

You might want to check a little deeper - your IP might have a 130,000 mile warranty. If so, you should probably get your installation money back.

The extended warrenty on th IP is 120,000 miles or 11 yrs from date of manufacture.

So I think you did well.
