Since I towed 2 days ago There has not been a single slip in the transmission. What should I do to ensure that the transmission is fine for the trip.

Sounds like you might have been getting a littel tire spin in the rain to me.lock it in 4x4 stand on the throttel and see what happens. if you get any wheel hop trans is not slipping. if no ses or ck eng lite is on the computer hasent sensed any slipps but the guys in my shop tell me it may take several slipps (more than 4 times) for it to set a code.
