can u replace 225/75 w/ 235/85 on dually'?

I thought this was a sutiable sub for the 225s but the Sams Club folks aren't even allowed to sell(mount and balance) the tires according to their book. Told them I'd be responsible for fit they said they would get fired if caught. However I can buy them and let someone else mount them.. Sales rep said they probally rub , I'm sure I've seen them on other duallys.
Are you guys having any problem with 235/85s?

I had 245/75's on my truck. They were fine unloaded, but under a load they would barely touch.
Not being real comfortable with this, I switched back to the 225's.
I really wish I had tried the 235's first.

I've been running 245/75's on mine for about 2 years with no problems. Haul a 15,000# excavator around. Just make sure you keep the air pressure at the maximum rated (85# for the tires I'm running). The correct pressure will be listed on the tire in VERY samll print close the the wheel.

I have a 93 crewcab dually with 235/85 r16's on (2wd), and they don't even come CLOSE to touching anything even at full lock. Even when loaded down with my #3000 plus pound slide in and a #5000 pound 4-place jetski trailer on behind. So I would say no problem on those size of tires;)

Mine is a 94 K3500 and the 235's are the perfect tire. They don't rub together. I drag a pretty good load so they've been tested. Did have to adjust the VSSB though to correct the speedo. The only drawback was the diffence in handling with a higher profile tire took a bit of getting used to.

I run 235/85's on mine with absolutely no problem. I did blow one when I forgot to pay attention to tire pressure (definitely know better now!) with a full load of fire wood! Not all that sure it had anything to do with the tire size though. There is plenty of separation between the duals on my truck and they don't seem that much closer than the 225's did. I also like the lower R's and small increment in mileage cause I am not keen on the 4:10's in the first place!
