Anyone have any recommendations for a good 6.5L mechanic in the Portland, Oregon, area? I am currently without a work space and it is getting into the rainy season - something about tearing into a 6.5 in a downpour out in the open that makes me willing to spend a few bucks on a mechanic. Took it into a local Chevy dealer for a new clutch slave cylinder for $300, they didn't save the old parts for me, and did a lousy job of bleeding the line - and the cylinder failed about a couple of months later. I then changed it myself in about 15 minutes, plus bleeding time, and $69 for the new cylinder from Schucks. Won't be going back there...

Mt Hood Diesel about a mile out of Sandy (east on 26) Harley doesn't like them but is one good wrench. He has done work on my 93 and my 03 CTD for a number of years and I have nothing bad to say. Watch out for the Bear dog (about 9" tall and weighs about 10#) Good service at a fair price.

Thanks, I am currently in Gresham, so Sandy is not that far away.
