Fuel cutoff solinoide

I need help with my 98 6.5 TD. It is stopping / stalling. I have been told that it may be the fuel cutoff solinoide. It has only just started happening. The car will re-start after a few minutes and may run for ten minutes or so then stop again.

I know that this has been the problem with this vehicle before.

Any information would be appreciated. Where is it, how is it replaced, is it a major job etc.

Do a search on "OPS", or oil pressure sender, to learn more about this thing. It provides power to the lift pump when there is oil pressure.

Best solution seems to be Kennedy's replacement.

I was on holidays when mine went so I had the dealer do it and a failing lift pump. No idea how hard it is to do yourself.
