if so, wondering how it went and what changes were necessary and what differences you noticed. thanks!

Matt I used the rear half of a BD 4" exhaust and then used 4" Truck exhaust elbows and straight pipe to complete the job on my 95 6.5 suburban, lasted many years, also used the small 21" long small diameter truck resenator for a muffler. I also had to plumb in a BD exhaust brake. If you have a welder and mechanical knowledge you can do it. Runs cool, sounds cool, looks great. ;)

I run stock Dmax exhaust on my rig. The stock muffler wont fit at all and some of the bends have to be cut and rewelded. It can be done if you have some skill welding and fabing stuff up. It is time consuming though, so if time is of importance it is better to get a system designed for the 6.5 IMHO.
