6.5L using duramax exhaust?

Anyone out there tried using a Duramax 3.5 inch exhaust from the cat back? I was given a brand new take off and looks like it would be easy to make work. Just wondering if anyone has tried this?

Anything will work given enough determination. Eliminate the cat in the process.

With the exception of the hangers, the bends used in the tailpipe should work fine. The intermediate pipe used on the Dmax ahead of the muffler has a bend that isn't necessary in a 6.5 truck. It'll still work, but the bend would look a little out of place since there's no need for it.

Don't see any problems. I installed a Dmax muffler on my motorhome with a 5.9CTD. Was able to run a 3.5" exhaust and keep it quiet and have the bonus of a stainless muffler.
