I am installing new heads on old girl. I removed the pushrods and heads, I noticed that 4 or 5 pushrods or bent.(two pretty good and the others slightly)
I was wondering is this caused by something else that I need to check before putting the new heads on.
Hate to put it all back together and something else happens.

Hi Damien,
Several things can cause bent push rods.
Hydraulic Cam followers if faulty, sticking rocker arms, sticking valves, valve timing being set up wrong during a rebuild causing the valves to hit the pistons or push rods not seated properly in the followers during reassembly.
Any history of problems or repair work before or since you have owned the truck that may give any clues to a fault?
