oversized intercooler

I am looking for information in regard to the posibility of installing a large intercooler horizontally over the engine with electric fans over the top of the intercooler. I know a hood modification would be in order. Has anyone done it?

Do a search on this subject on this site and you'll find info. Try searching for hood scoops or something like that. The main problems with doing that seems to be (1) enough air flow at town driving (2)on top of the engine is the worst place for an intercooler due to all the heat from the motor soaking into it.
