Often, the 6.5 TD is maligned and its shortcomings listed prominently, but I thought I report on my day. Nothing special, no massive load towed up ridiculous hills or anything like that. Just that I got up this morning, fueled up and drove from Indianapolis to Dubois Penn., picked up some computer equipment (about 350 lb.) and drove back to Indy -- a round trip of 940 miles in 15 hours. I did not even bother to shut her down from morning to night.
Again, nothing special, but my 6.5 did just what I wanted it, and got it to do - take me long distances, comfortably, reliably and with relative economy (about 19 mpg). I think I can wait on an upgrade. Besides, it
