Not the links I was thinking about. Does anyone that has used one happen to have any data on before and after temps and even more important, heat soaking?

If I intercool the truck I doubt I'll go much higher than 12-14 psi. I agree with the premise that any intercooling is better than none.

In looking on eBay. I think the earlier 740's only had 2.5" inlet/outlets. In the descriptions they say the 2.5" inlet/outlet intercoolers are for the older 740's, pre 1994. I'm not sure about older 940's. The change over could have been during the 1994 year for both model cars.

It's 3"od both ends, link to site above has lots more data.

Art, I stand corrected (measured wrong thats my sometimers) and the volvo ic your looking at has a 57mm id in/out. Pressure drop would be excessive on 400ci motor.

I've already decided that Kent's method is better. Where else can you get data of towing 15K combined weight, up a grade, foot to the floor all the way to 89 MPH and only reach a max of 131 MAT? Can't beat that with a stick for $400.

Naturally I have to put my own touch to it but we'll see how that goes...
