code 93 and lots of smoke at startup

I pulled the codes today and have a 93 which is a cylinder fault on # 6. I found a loose hose clamp on the infeed of the filter housing and tightened it. New glow plugs and new lifter pump. I really hope its not injectors cause it runs perfect warm. I'll check the glow circuit and any more possible fuel leaks but I am open to any suggestions. Thankyou, Shad

It is probably a bad injector or a leaking injector as fuel is leaking into the cylinder and causing white smoke on start up. It will run fine and show no smoke as the fuel does not have a chance to build up. Have a diesel tech check it for you.

I tested the glow circuit and was ok and stll no change after the fuel line tightened up. Still smokes for 1 to 2 min on cold startup. If I plug it in only for about 5 seconds. If it is the injectors it'll have to wait till spring so I can drive my dart for a few days.
