I am in the process of changing the rear axle seal and pads. I have to change the cylinder as one side is froze. I went to removed the cylinder plate and the plate is welded to the axle!? This plate is the one that bolts the plate to the flange on the axle. Is this the way they come from the factory or did someone do this on their own? It is a '97 with the full floater. Have to remove axle to get drum off. Any thoughts.
