Fuel Filter Head Assembly Discontinued - Options

New to the forum so this may be in the wrong place, if so please direct me elsewhere.
2005 C5500 Kodiak C5U042 Motor Home Cutaway Chassis LLY
Need to replace the Fuel Filter Head (Housing) Assembly - GM called it Fuel Filter Shell
OEM Part # is 12645620 but it is long discontinued and none available. Looks like this with the stubby fuel hose attachments.

All of the available replacements have long curved attachments of different types.
Anyone been down this road and can tell me the best alternative to use? Any help appreciated.

It may be unique to your model, but all pickup versions are still available. They use the same filter cartridge, but may have different in/outlet locations or fittings. Perhaps some creative application engineering may be in order for you. Also, repair kits with seals and some hardware are available, if the problem is simply a leak. Check with aftermarket suppliers like www.kennedydiesel.com (http://www.kennedydiesel.com) for alternatives. If you don't find what you need listed on the site, give them a call.
