Are the LML rods non fractured?, is this a good way to go? Thanks, newbie here.

I guess first I'd look to understand your goals? To me using any factory connecting rod is an incremental (minor) step up and if you want to make something truly durable I would look to aftermarket like Carillo for rods and be done with it.

Personally, I'd suggest sticking to the 500 HP range, use this power level sparingly, and keep the bottom end stock because the next step cost $10's of thousands.

Is it your sense that adding power... big power, increases the potential for a crankshaft dowel-pin or crankshaft failure? Do the aftermarket harmonic dampers help to solve that? Thx.

The connecting rods seem to bend first. I don't know that there is any issue with the crank gear. I've been told it is an absolute pain to remove. I run the ATI damper on my LB7. It's a tight press fit and not a slip fit like OE so it holds better.

The camshaft pin is a potential issue though so keying the cam is a good idea.
