Casper Wyoming area-help needed

Casper Wyoming area. I took a call from a party that is in Casper Wyoming broken down with a 2005 LLY pickup truck. From what I gather her son started working on the truck to change the water pump and now it will not run. No communication with the ECM. Hoping maybe I had a contact out there it will be willing to take a look because she's at a shop and hemorrhaging money with a guess diagnosis that it is the ECM. I don't know what her financial means are so at this point we're looking for a Good Samaritan to kind of just check things out and I could probably send out a test ECM if deemed necessary. Backstory: The son started the water pump job and either in an altered state, or a deliberate act (or both) went rogue taking off all kinds of things that he had no business taking apart. Sounds like he had the entire top of the engine off except for the turbo. When I came into the picture, the tech had things back together but no crank, no comm with the ECM.

Update: I spoke with the tech that was working on it and gained confidence in his abilities. I sent some wiring information so he could check things out and ended up sending a test ECM (broken connectors) out and the truck fired right up so I am shipping a properly matched and fully functional ECM out today.
