Howdy
Can anyone give some advice as to a good location for the oil temp sender? It is 1/8 pipe thread. I'm trying to avoid drilling a hole in the pan do to possible chipps getting in the pan.
Thanks in advance!

Hey conley, i actually removed my oil filter housing and tapped 1/8" thred into the top of it. Had it in there for a year now with perfectly accurate oil temp readings. its good to so you can wash it out after to avoid any filings gettin mixed with the oil, and its a lot easier than dropping the oil pan. just my $.02 worth

When I installed mine I used the drain plug hole in the pan. I used a threaded bushing (adapter) I already had. I believe the gauge readings to be accurate, and have no problem when changing oil just disconnect the wire then remove sender as you would the drain plug.

Mike, where did you find that adaptor? I have been looking for that exact piece!

Andy, I could not tell you where I got the piece.
It was something I had in the garage, I can be a pack rat when it comes to little things like that.
