duramax/allison square body 205

I was wondering if anybody had any experience with putting a 205 in a duramax/allison sqaurebody swap? I have the duramax/ allison in already, but my front dana 60, is a passenger side input. I know that I could probably find a drivers side input dana 60, but wouldnt it be better, to get an adaper, and go with a 205? I think that there will be enough room to weld up the exhaust. I hope that there is someone out there that has done this before:)

Cant comment on the practicality, but I can say you don't want to push the HP/TQ on the NP205 with stock shafts. There was a guy at Diesel Power Challenge with a sharp green older Ford that had a NP205 and a Cummins. The 205 was the weak link.
