95 6.5 need answers new to diesels

I am looking at a 95 1/2 ton chevy 4x4 6.5 turbo diesel. That being said it needs an injection pump but it also has been sitting 2 years. Guy wants 2000 for it as is it has 20 miles on a new crate motor before the injection pump failed so my question is...is it worth 2000 grand ? Thanks in advance

If the truck is in good shape body wise (Not a rust bucket) then most certainly it's worth the $2K

Get the pump off and get it to a good stanadyne repair shop and have the IP gone through.

How was it that the Injection pump was determined to be bad ????

It seems funny that someone would bail on the truck after only 20 miles since investing thousands into it.
Any way to verify the new part of the crate motor,and also verify the supplier?
There were some crate engines of questionable origin at one time.
