Could it just be old fuel

So I have a 98 k2500 with 186k ip went bad end of 2016 put a new one in got the timing good enough to start it next day went to start it to take it to a mechanic and time it no go, every glow plug broke off in the head, then life happened pushed it out of the shop and bought another truck .... fast forward 3 years started working on it again put new plugs it the fsd was new mid 2016. It’s all back together now, and it will crank but won’t even act like it’s going to start. Pulled 4 plugs drivers side and have fuel mist but no start. Could it just be old fuel?

Make sure the glow plugs are getting hot.

Does the glow lamp come on and then go off after a bit????

Which plugs did you put in...60G ????

If you have fuel mist it means the IP is working.

Fuel with some heat and it should fire up....

I went with the Bosch this time and can se the volt meter dipping quite a bit when I hear the relay clicking what’s the best way to see if there getting hot ?

Pull one out and ground the body and then turn the key on.

They should glow nice and red....

To be safe..use a jumper cable and clamp if to the metal "wrench flats" and then connect the cable to a good engine ground.

Plug in the block heater to get some extra heat into the engine.
