Need a engine rebuilder

I have a 06 Duramax with 400k on the clock..got a P0087 code and am worried its fuel injectors...I will try replacing the flexible fuel hoses but....I searched E-bay and there’s a lot of engine rebuilders that will sell a refurbished ( all new inards) for starting at $3400.
I’m thinking I want to keep this truck, a new rebuilt engine and interior is a lot less than a new truck..

Problem with reman is finding a good one. Most big outfits cut a lot of corners. GM has a very good program with warranty, BUT you get bone stock. Might try searching for a good used one, but either way you still need to do injectors be it yours, a reman, or a used one unless you find a super low miles unit.

With the P0087 do a lift pump. Those hoses will not be an issue when the pressure is greater inside than out. From there I can typically address with tuning upgrades that help keep the pressure at or near target.
