View Full Version : leakin'
Well, after the nice dealer replaced my IP, and cleaned filter housing and fuel lines, I have a little fuel leak. Using mirror, it looks like the bottom of the filter housing is wet (not coming from IP). I have not had to have this out myself before. Would y'all sugest pulling it myself to have a peek or spending (wasting) time making the appointment at the dealer for them to fix...
I have no problem doing it, but if it is a hassle, I will let the culprits do it.

Before jumping the gun make sure everything is tight. Wipe everything clean and take it for a good ride.
After the Injection Pump replacement they must replace the fuel filter.
I hope they replaced the rubber fuel lines around the pump and filter while they had it apart.

Howdy
Few things to check....
(1) gastket in the top of the fuel bowl. This can be a pain to seal sometimes.
(2) Fuel lines on the bottom of filter. just barb fittings maybe not tight.
(3) residue in the valley pan
