As a new member, I've been reading a lot of posts regarding failures of the FSD and possible causes of those failures, including those that are heat related.
At the risk of embarrassing myself, or worse yet, offending the purists in the crowd, has anyone experimented with a hood scoop. And I'm not talking about the fake "designer scoops" that we see all too often on cars as a cosmetic add-on. I'm thinking about the old muscle car hood scoops that were reverse mounted. The logic was that fast moving air over the hood would create low pressure at the mouth of the scoop. This in turn would draw air out of the engine compartment, thereby keeping it cooler.
What do you think?
