Optimizer 6.5 T/D Oil Filter Adapter

So I have a new engine going in a 95 2wd dually. The old blown engine that I took out had an oil filter adapter. I'm assuming it's for clearances in certain applications. I installed that engine probably 15 years ago, and think we took it out of a suburban. Anyone have any additional information regarding this adapter?

I figured as much. So my oil cooler lines (aluminum I think) that bolt to the block are bent and restrictive. I'm thinking about just using fittings to braided high pressure line, cut to fit. Any thoughts? Thanks

The oil cooler lines you describe are similar to what TDP vendors sell. If you have the means to build your own, by all means, do so. Otherwise, you can buy a kit. The OEM lines have never been reliable. The same applies to PS lines, although less catastrophic when they fail, and they aren't out of sight.

I can make my own, or have them made to length but want to look at TDP? Do you have a website address or link etc? I can't find it. Thanks

I've purchased Greg's (Lubrication Specialist) Oil cooler lines for my Tahoe. Work great and quite affordable. I doubt I could have had our local hose shop build them as affordably. Perfect fit first time, no hassle.

Another vote(s) for Greg’s lines. I have them on my K2500 and Yukon.

To expand on the adapter, for 2WD the oil filter just comes straight down while the adapter points it forward so that it misses the 4WD driveshaft.

Ditto - on the oil cooler lines and the adapter. I have Lubrication Specialists' oil cooler lines on my Tahoe. Good product.

The 90 degree adapter points the oil filter horizontally instead of vertically to make room for the front driveshaft. Makes oil changes a real pain. I keep talking of doing a filter relocation kit, but after 12 years and who knows how many thousands of miles, I still haven't done it! :D

Does Greg make the power steering hoses as well? I did have an oil cooler hose blow in the street in front of my house, took about 6 hours with a pressure washer and degreaser and 2 years to fade the stain away. Nasty blowout. I've been building this truck for 2 years now, just want to get it right. Thanks yall.
