I had to grind mine slightly. I got it just to the point where I could slip a business card between them.

My recollection is it's the 330. Could the 333 be for the dual setup?

Edit: found this: " 333-180 Series Substitute Designed for Ford 351C with controlled bypass system"

I have the dual thermostat crossover. I know there has been discussion into making sure you use Robert Shaw stats. I saw in a thread that Robert Shaw is also sold as "Stant"??

Nope, two different animals.

About 25 years ago Jim posted an article wherein he compared the various thermostats available for the (single stat) 6.5. The Robertshaw (one word) performed best.

Sadly, it looks like they may be getting out of the automotive thermostat business. Found this. (https://www.flowkoolerwaterpumps.com/store/Thermostats/c22/index.html)

Kennedy (http://www.kennedydiesel.com/categoryresults3.cfm?Category=1&SubCategory=65&SubCategory2=17) still lists the the Robertshaw 180 stats (at a much better price than most places).

I wanted to try a 180 degree stat in my earlier 6.5 single crossover and couldn't find one. What I did was take my 195 degree one and carefully cut the center out of it. Then I went to Autozone and bought a high performance 180 Degree off the shelf and tack welded it 4 places to the 195 degree one. Works great. The high performance one at Autozone has the same opening size as the Kennedy ones and should flow the same.
