Alternator cable question

Hi everyone, back in town. :(
Have all new battery cables made up but on the alternator it looks like a fusible link in the cable. :confused:
Do I just eliminate that on the new cable?
That Max E Tork 2 is awesome. :D
Steady running (no load) at 75 I am averaging 21 MPG. smile.gif

I used 1 guage welding cable and it has been working fine for more than two years now.

Fredeberle,

Consider putting a heavy duty fuse holder in your new alternator output cable. A block like the one in this link is something I'm considering using with a 150 Amp fuse:
