Turbo spun

My 2015 Duramax/Allison crew cab sent a code that says the turbo needs replaced.
Has anyone had problems like this. I was towing a backhoe but no huge amount of weight compared to what I've out my other Duramax/Allison through.
This isn't going to be cheap.

Talk to John Kennedy before you buy anything. John has posted several times about people replacing turbos that probably only needed serviced. Try resetting the code and see if the code returns. It may have been just a one time occurrence.

A Tech II scan tool can be used to pretty thoroughly test the turbocharger. I'd do that first, then see if the code repeats.
