I pressed pedal against the floor and passed a car, when I released the pedal the revs did not go down, I had to hit the brakes. I continued a minute or two on the road. The revs went between >3000 rpm and almost 0 rpm. The car stopped, I putted tranny in Park and started again and revs jumped between > 3000 and almost zero. I shutted of motor after some few seconds.
The question is - where to start ?

Hi Bor
Does the car/truck have a mechanical injection pump or a electronic injection pump?
If it is electronic i would change the PMD/FSD first.

There should be one or more trouble codes set if the fuel injection pump is electronic.

Both the DB2 mechanical or DS4 electronic fuel injection pumps can do this, although very rare. Aside from an electronic PMD/FSD module failure as noted above, the DS4 fuel solenoid inside the pump can stick due to corrosion or contamination, which is a mechanical problem.

Thank You More Power and Yukon6,2 !!

I have DS4 electronic fuel injection and a FSD on the shelf.
I have also GMTDScan from Engs motor ( http://www.enghmotors.com )- I`ll check the trouble codes.

Now I know what to do tomorrow !

Up and running !

There was a bunch of DTC:s, but it´s years since I cleared them.
Anyway I changed FSD and started without any problem.

Now I have to buy a new FSD and put it on the shelf for future use.
By the way, is there any idea to change transistors in FSD and is it possible ?

Thanks for the help, it saved me time and headace !
