Hello,

Would I have any issues using a 1998 water pump on my 1994 Sub?
Ive compared both units and they seem to have the same overall dims.
The 98 pump has an embossed "HO" on the casting and seems to have a slightly larger impeller. I believe the 94 pump has a GPM rating of 85 gallons vs the 130 for the 98.
I'm only assuming the GPM rating since this information isn't listed on the box, just what ive seen on line.

My Sub has a single thermostat with an updated fan and clutch.
I may not see the 130 due to the single unit but would it hurt anything if I used the higher volume pump?

The 98 pump is a new bosch unit.

thanks, Paul

Might want to read through some of the other posts on this subject - such as this one: http://www.thedieselpageforums.com/tdpforum/showthread.php?t=27469

While your in there it would be real easy to upgrade to duel stats. One more potential problem solved at the same time.

Great read....
Since GM reported popping freeze plugs when running the new pump with the old crossover, doesnt sound like a good plan.

thanks.
