Hello, I have a 95 K3500 dually, when its in 4wd and I back out of the driveway and make a sharp turn onto the road it binds up so bad the truck basically stops moving. Is this normal? Did they have a positraction front diff for these trucks?

You never want to use 4WD on pavement for precisely that reason. Only use it when you’re going to have some slip somewhere - mud, dirt, snow, etc.

That isn't normal, but it's normal. As said, you should never engage and drive in 4x4 when you'll have traction on all 4 wheels, such as on dry pavement. It isn't normal because the drivetrain should not bind. However, if you engage 4x4 and have good traction at all 4 corners, it will bind when turning, which is normal. The good news is, your 4x4 works. The locking rear differential, if it has that, can cause a similar condition, but it won't be the same. The 1995+ trucks have a Gov-Loc system, which is 100% open until a significant L/R wheel speed differential exists.
