Obd2 periodic lift pump function

Have a 98 Chevy 2500 I have periodic lift pump function. Previously worked every time till I came to sea level in washington state. I've read the other post regarding this matter. Id like to check the ground but have no idea where it is, been looking for an hour. Don't want to replace it if I don't have to. Can anyone tell me where the ground is located?

that gave me a problem once.. and if i am not mistaken i think it comes up to the intake manifold on the pass side. Me? I just ran a 14awg wire directly to the battery!
