DIC took % from 100%-0% when stepping on it to pass in 15 seconds. I reset the filter life twice and it did the same thing. Replaced filter - all is ok.
Filter only had &,144 mles on it.
Seems to be low miles when recommmended is 15K per manual, others recommend 10K.
Software glitz??
Thoughts?
Thank You

If all went well after you replaced the filter, I'd say you had dirty fuel at some point and when the fuel flow demand was such that the filter couldn't satisfy what the engine was asking for, the ECU noticed and complained. Or maybe you've got a collapsed fuel line somewhere between the tank and pump, but you'd notice that even with a new filter.

What brand fuel filter? Stay away from the plastic ones.

Study up on P0087 then decide if you want to continue to drive as is or install preventive measures up front. We've done TONS of lift pump setup and P0087 tunes this summer.

Step 1: Kennedy Twin lift pump deluxe kit

Step 2: Kennedy Custom ECM programming

In reality you will need both, but the pump is really a necessity to support the fuel supply system.
