Front drive shaft length

How long should my front drive shaft be ? 1996 k2500 ex cab long box? Also I guess it'd be ok if it fits tight since the front differential doesn't move up and down like on a solid axle truck?

Ok thanks I was a little worried but then I thought well the shaft doesn't move up and down on this unit
