Steering Problem

For the past year or two, I have notcied that when I go around highspeed curves, the steering wheel sometimes surges or becomes very easy to turn and then will go back to having some resistance. I was recently talking to a mechanic and he said GM had some problems with their Speed Sensitive Steering. The way he explains it, in town the wheel is easy to turn and at highway speed it become harder. In other words it varies the amount of assist provided by the power steering. I see there is a TSB 86-32-06, that addresses a wheel speed sensor. Has anyone had similar problems and did the TSB help? Any help would be greatly apperciated.
