I put a manual lift pump on a 1995 6.5 diesel, and it won't pump fuel. Previously, it was fed with an in-tank electric fuel pump. Does the crank have the lobe in the 95 to make the manual lift pump work?

There is no in-tank fuel pump on a 1995 if this is a Diesel Truck from factory.

The electric fuel pump would be in the frame rail on the driver's side and works perfectly well.

Does a 1995 6.5 Engine have the provisions for a mechanical lift pump? Interally, yes, all camshafts for the 6.2 and 6.5 have the fuel pump lobe. Did you install the push rod that goes in the block. If i didn't have a pump there before there won't be a push rod in there already, you have to buy one.

Externally, is this engine turbocharged? If so, this won't work as you won't have a place to mount the pump because the oil return from the turbo goes there.

If non-turbo, then any Small Block Chevy Fuel pump plate mounts there.
