Restart after battery change

After having the battery disconnected on my 2002 GMC sierra with the Duramax, the truck started up with the key off when reconnecting. Is this normal? It did not shut off until I hit the brake and from then on seems to be normal.

Do you have a remote start key fob?

No remote start here. Glitch in the Matrix it may be!

Sounds like a classic case of aftermarket remote start-itis. The DEI Viper series will do this every time especially if no hood switch is installed/functioning.
