I recently installed a boost gauge in my 1999 K2500 Suburban. The gauge is tapped into the upper intake manifold, about an inch or so past where the flexible connector from the turbo charger is attached.
What are normal values? I've had the boost go as high as 11, although it rarely goes past 6 or so. It won't stay at 11 for more than a second or so -- it quickly drops down. I assume that this is the wastegate opening. This is all lightly loaded, with nothing in tow.
