Well I hoped it would never happen since my motor change about a year ago I put in brand new oil cooler lines. I just had one blow out in the rubber hose yesterday driving down the road . I got it shut down before any harm was done (I hope) I seen my gauge fall and shut it down . SOOO im take them back to the parts store and get my money back since there lifetime lines.

Now where can i get braided steel lines to replace the factory ones ?
Thanks

Brian

Well when i can afford it im going to get a set of lines from one of our advertisers but until then . Would it hurt to plug the lines and run it without the cooler ? I would like to drive it since its costing me money to drive anything else , Since the burb runs on veggie oil

If you run it without a cooler, you won't need a cooler. For that engine, anyway.

Ok well than i might just plug the holes in the block and run it that way till i can afford or feel like replacing them . Thanks

Running it without the cooler will toast your engine.
If nothing else get the "lifetime" cooler lines that you had replaced with warranty....maybe this time you will get good ones...

Yeah, you missed the gist of DMax’s statement - that you won’t have to worry about a cooler for THAT engine as you’ll be looking for a NEW engine in short order…

Looking at it that way, $150 is pretty cheap: http://www.lubricationspecialist.com/gm-6.5td/6.6l-diesel/96-and-earlier-6.5td-oil-cooler-lines/

I suppose I should have been less vague. Running w/o an oil cooler will not end well, for THAT engine. It will end, and right soon. I do NOT recommend it.
