View Full Version : 2000 K-3500 6.5 Oil Cooler Lines
Changing out the oil cooler lines on my truck. Been reading posts on Dorman and OEM lines. The pros and cons cancel each other out it seems. Any new info anybody have? BTW, my old lines where almost chaffed through on the aluminum. The rubber sections were in good shape!

I went with the Lubrication Specialist kit on mine. They have them for the later models as well: http://www.lubricationspecialist.com/gm-6.5td/6.6l-diesel/97-and-later-6.5td-oil-cooler-lines/

The original lines on my Truck lasted 17 years so I figured they weren't such a bad design, I replaced them with OEM ! And I didn't have to mess around figuring out fitting sizes as I would have had to do when ordering non GM lines.

Ditto. I just installed mine a few months ago. The OEM lines are rather cheesy, considering the vital role they play.
