Hi guys, it's been a long time and now i'm back with some questions:
Can i replace the electric fuel lift pump for a mechanic pump? i have 1984 GMC Sierra classic pick up with the 6.5 Turbo. My other question will be, where should the oil return line be connected to if i'm placing the mechanic lift pump there?
Thank you for the help guys.

I guess you could, you would need to move your oil return to the pan..

..... Or just use the Banks oil return adapter, designed for just that purpose. It replaces the sub-plate at the mechanical fuel pump. You'll need a sub-plate, anyway.

Apparently.. See the end of the video for one option for relocating turbo oil drain..

Not something I would ever consider doing, IMO the electrical lift pump is equally if not more reliable if given the same degree of attention into troubleshooting and fixing it as is given to upgrading and/or replacing it with a mechanical pump..... but to each there own... good luck
