I was asked to try stewarts fuel additive ,.
Yes i got another 100kms to the tank of fuel,..
BUT,.it also cleaned all the crap of the inside of the tank and fuel pressure went for a poo,...bad enough it wa drawing a vaccuum on the gaugen when i asked for too much power,.
Seeing as i have all rubber fuel lines front to back,. i disconnected at the lift pump and blew back through, and fuel pressure came back up,.
i,ve done it twice now in a month,.i,m hoping that the algae is breaking up into a small enough size to pass through the sock,.

AArgh,.. gm's sock

Maybe install a new filter before the lift pump? I'm not sure how good that stuff would be for the lift pump, plus it would help-out your main filter. Plus, if you decided to remove the sock, you'd already be set.

Well i don't want another filter to plug up,.at the moment,. but if i do remove the sock then yes i;ll doo just that,.
The main filter is 4 times the stock size,. so i,m good there,.
I think the lift pump will be fine pumping a wee bit of algae,..
runs 7lbs at idle now and drops to 4ish under full snort,.

Sure, it was just a thought, anyways.
