Glow plug light not working

First off I would like to thank everybody on this site for their great comments and feedback to my questions

I have a 1995 Chevy pick up 65 diesel
When I was removing the lower intake manifold for some work I hit the intake manifold on the glow plug relay and arced the hot lead. Now my glow plugs do not turn on. I thought I must've damaged the relay so I replaced it with a new one. This did not fix it. I've checked power to the input side of the glow plug relay and I have power. If I run a jumper wire from the intake of the relay to the output of the relay the glow plug light comes on on the glow plugs work. All glow plugs are brand-new. Any ideas of why my glow plug relay is not working

Chase the hot wire back to the junction. You should find a fusible link on the way, probably burned. Either replace it with a (crimp-on) F-link, or you can install a 100 amp (Maxi) fuse and holder. Another option would be to replace the entire wire, if you have a take-out available (from a recycler/wrecking yard). I don't know if it's available as a new part, but I haven't found one listed.

Let me clarify
I have power from the battery to the relay
I can jump from the intake of the relay to the other stud on the output side and every thing lights up and works good
No sure why the glow plugs do not work with just the key
I replaced the relay with not improvement

If it was a fuse link issue on the output side of the relay I'm assuming that it wouldn't work with the jumper wire between the studs

How about find someone with an osilloscope to look at the controlling wire from the puter on the relay, it should have the pulses on it from the puter. Did you jumper 12V from the battery to this terminal? That would be a no-no!! You may have fried the puter. The ONLY signals on this wire are SMALL 5V pulses from the puter.

There is a fuse in the convenience center under the hood on a 1995 that contains a 10amp fuse labeled for Glow Plugs. This fuse is only between the live power from the glow plugs and the actual bulb in the dash. Check this fuse.

Have a helper help you, have them turn the key while you check the voltage on the output of the controller to see that it's being signaled on and is doing so.

If so, it's the indicator lamp

according to the diagram, there is a 20 amp fuse between the ignition switch and the wire going to terminal A of the glow plug relay. You should have at least 11 volts on terminal A of the glow plug relay when the you start the vehicle. I have tried to post a picture of this circuit on here but I can't get it to work. If you would like a copy, send me a private message with your E-Mail address and I will send it. Terminal A in the Glow Plug Relay is the Pink wire and it also goes to the fuel heater in your filter. It is also possible that you are missing your engine ground from terminal C (black wire) on the glow plug relay to ground.
