I have a project truck im going to put a 6.5 turbo diesel into it. I bought a 1997 chevy 3500 van with the center mounted turbo not realilzing how different they are my question is what do I need to do to switch it mechanical injection? I know the heads are different but is it just the exhaust ports or are the injectors in the same angle as the truck heads? Also ive seen some kind of line adapters for bd4 lines to bd2 pumps do I need these or can I just use 6.2 lines? I have been able to find info on the truck 6.5s but the van/hummer motors I cannot find much info

Hi
I converted my 98 to mechanical injection this summer. You need the lines from a 93 6.5 for the 6.5 conversion.I have never heard of any adapters.
The 6.2 lines will only fit the 6.2 heads, same as the Van/Hummer lines.
There may be some overlap with the 6.2's out of the early 90's,that the lines may work.
