I need to find a J manifold to swap to my 85 6.2 C type diesel, any body got one to sell? Also need to get the right gasket and some tips on the install would be helpful as far as any ports ect on the egr that need to get plugged off or whatever.

Thanks

They come up pretty often on Ebay. Both the open and split plane. I think mine was $30 shipped. Sometimes you have to know what you are looking at as the seller might have it listed incorrectly. My open plane manifold was listed as a Hummer manifold....

Great I'll check it out. How's the install swap, pretty straight forward? I heard somewhere you need to get the proper gasket, something to do with a block off plate for the egr.

Yes, look at the intake gaskets, you should see a piece of metal in the gasket covering the egr hole...

The gaskets that I got had the hole in them for the EGR. But my vehicle was a NON egr to start with and had two stainless steel blocking pieces in the factory egr hole. So I just reused them. You should make sure that the gasket set you get comes with something to block off the holes. It will be in btween the middle two runners.

The gasket won't matter, as far as EGR goes. If you are using a J intake, it won't have EGR ports, anyway.

Howdy
I was inventorying the "PILE" yesterday and found the intake that I took off my blazer. It is a dual plane non-egr, it is missing one CDR pipe fitting but other wise is complete with both CDR pipes.
If you are interested I will sell it for $15 plus shipping....
