I have a 2000 Chevy 6.5L turbo diesel. I am doing a water pump replacement and one thing has me confused. I have put the water pump gasket on and mated it back to the the timing cover plate. Now, my question is, between the plate and the motor do I put BOTH the timing cover plate gasket AND the two little blue water crossover gaskets? And if so is it:

Plate>plate Gasket>water crossover gasket>engine

or

Plate>water crossover gasket>plate gasket>engine

or..

are the water crossover gaskets from the kit for another application and it is simply

plate>plate gasket>engine

???

Thanks!

Nevermind...dumb question. I see the hole on each side of the pump is not actually the crossover.

So for where I am talking about it looks like it is

plate>plate gasket>motor
