I have my brothers 6.5 apart and I measured the cylinders and some of them are tapered too bad and need honed ture again, so I was wondering if I should sleeve #8 so I wouldnt have to worry about it cracking in the future, (like the 6.5 power project did) I can get sleeves but I was wondering what size O.D. I need.

The cast iron sleeve we used had a wall thickness of .140". Once installed, all cyls were bored .020 over. I don't recall whether the outside diameter was mentioned... I just remember the wall thickness.
I was a little apprehensive at first when it was recommended we use a sleeve for #8, but it has worked out very well. smile.gif Proper installation is the key to success.
